Stone

A thin whisp of cloud floated in front of the moon obscuring the world in darkness. A wolf howled in the distance, and a man stumbled out from a behind a tree. Lucifer quickly walked faster and faster, trying to leave the echoes of his previous conversation behind. In his head Clarisse was cackling madly;

“You? Be good? My boy anyone who’s heard that has surely had a heart attack!”

Lucifer shudders and clutches a small, round bundle close. He muttered, possessed with anger;

“I will be good! Just you wait you mad old witch!”

Walking briskly with newfound determination, Lucifer reached the cliff. The cloud floated back into the night, and the moon’s ghostly glow fell upon Lucifer’s shoulders. The wolf’s howling ceased, and the world waited with baited breathe. He opened the bundle and pulled out the Stone. The Stone’s colour changed again and again, from violet to aqua, from tomato red to daisy yellow.

“You won’t harm anyone else Stone!” Lucifer yells.

Grabbing his pocketknife, he splits the Stone again and again, until it finally lay in pieces.

“I’m done!” he mutters and lets the jagged pieces fall from his hands into the sea below.

A cold, hard voice speaks out;

“I’m not done with you yet boy, I still have the Books!”

Lucifer sighs knowing that the voice was right. Gavada still had the Books, he still had the powers. Fate hadn’t finished with him yet, he still had a long way to go.

I Looked in the Mirror ...

I looked in the mirror and I saw something. But I could not see clear enough. The mirror started to open up and a good fairy popped out. The fairy cried with joy “Hi my name is Ella what is your name?” I whispered “My name is Mekeisha” “What a fabulous name” exclaimed the fairy. I took Ella down to meet my mum and dad “Mekeisha what is this wee creature you have brought along with you?” “Not a clue mother but she is very beautiful and sparkly I think we are going to be the best of friends.” Whatever you did, make it go back to its home. I asked her where you come from? Ella said with fear I come from a wonderful place called fairyland. “What country do you come from Mekeisha? I come from a place called New Zealand. “Oh wow that sound’s awesome, I have never been out of fairyland” yapped the fairy

“What is it like outside in the country” “It is dazzling outside because there is beautiful flowers and animals. I love the country side. I am going to ride my horse called Gumby down to the beach to watch the sunset and the moon rise I bet you the moon will be orange.

How To Live Forever

Have you ever heard of the book How to Live Forever? Yes? Do know what it does? No? Well then I’ll tell you.

This particular book tells you how to live forever. But don’t get excited, it’s not as you think, the book may make you live forever but do you really want to live forever with no friends or family? It’s torture that lasts forever, never stopping or changing even if you do manage not to go mad the everlasting boredom will drive you up the wall! DO NOT READ THE BOOK!!!

I once heard of a young boy about 10 or so, that read the awful book. He was the only one in the whole entire world that didn’t go mad. He didn’t want anyone else to find it and suffer as he did.

I for one wouldn’t even dream of reading that book!! So I hope you feel the same! Although some people will do anything to live forever, I am still hoping that they find out what happens when you read that terrible book and will be reluctant to read it.

Well have you made your decision yet? Are you or are you not going to read the terrible book? I hope I’ve made myself clear enough that reading the book would be the wrong decision, DO NOT READ THE BOOK!!! Sam J, Yr 6

When I Was Scared

My legs are shaking, my teeth chattering as I stare at the bush. The glowing green eyes staring back me. I look at the stars in the sky. I hear a bark, and another and another. I hear something moving towards me. It gets closer and closer then suddenly I see the dogs running.

The creature sprints of and the dogs chase it. It’s like it is camouflage because it is pitch black and it blends into the darkness. There is a loud squeal. I run towards it as it gets louder and louder. I put my head light on and I see something. I grab my knife and stick it. There is blood all over my hand. My dad comes and says “good job Max. I ask what is it. It’s a bore. We go home with 3 bores.

The Reading Manaic

It’s like her eyes are glued to the book like a starfish is glued to a rock she reads thin books big books, picture books and chapter books. She is a reading geek. She’s never free to do anything .She never stops smiling when she is reading; she tucks her hair behind her ears so it doesn’t go on her page.

She puts her hands so tightly on her book so she doesn’t drop it and lose the page she was on. Her nose always tickles on her favourite part. Her legs get sore from sitting down all day reading her books. She is so interested in reading that’s why she’s a reading manic!!!

Delicious Meal

My mouth waters as the delicious, mouth watering, indescribable smell wattles through the air, then drifting up my nose. It started simmering; my feet were slowly moving closer and closer until I could see in the pan!

A little voice inside me said, “go on, take a bite, see if it tastes alright.” And another voice said, “don’t, it’s a bad thing to do?”

What should I do?

I decided I would take a little bit, it’s not like my mum would know right?

I heard foot steps, she’s coming back! I ran over to my laptop and pretended to be on it. “Teas ready.” My mum said after awhile.

I put some simmering buttered chicken in to my mouth; all the flavours ran through me! “I’m in heaven!” I said to myself!

After my big amazing meal, I didn’t want to eat anything else, I didn’t want to get the flavour out of my mouth!

Fearfall

Fearfall

Giant butterflies flutter in my stomach as my family walks down the concrete floor. We reach the end of the long hallway. Two men wait there with a long metal measuring stick. The cool bar touches my bare skin and the relief makes me smile. I am tall enough to go in the terrifying, tall, yellow and red FEARFALL. As the safety man lowers the pole down to my hips. I look at my mum while my heart races. My hands go cold and clammy while I grip onto the cold handlebar. The four seater slowly rises up into the clouds. As we slowly come to the top, I looked down and that cold measuring stick looks like a broken twig. I felt the eerie silence while my body freezes. I wait for the terrifying drop. The tension builds up, then released. We go flying downwards and it feels like my stomach is coming out of my mouth. I try to scream, but nothing comes out. The only sound is of wind zooming past us. We slowly come to a stop while our bodies stay frozen. We stay there waiting while our minds start working again. We slowly climb out of the underestimated cart. My only clouded thought is “Can we go again?”

Lost At Sea

Lost at sea

We’re cold, wet and lost at sea

Panic fills our bodies we as pile into the lifeboat. Adrenaline rushes through veins while we paddle out into the vast ocean. The captains’ last words ring through our minds as we breathe in the sea air. The only sound we could hear is the splash of our paddles as they dive into the salty water. The only sound for miles. I wake up to the sound of screaming. A girl has fallen overboard. Everyone rushes to the side of the tiny lifeboat. It starts rocking violently and all of us fall in.

Our screams echo through the salty air. Our arms and lags move desperately and our lungs fill up with water. Warm tears drip out of my face as I realize this might be the last few moments of my life. I start blinking in water as I sink deeper and deeper. Suddenly I feel a warm jerk my body up and out of the water. My vision is blurred and my breath gurgles as I cough uncontrollably. Darkness takes over and I lie there limp and pale. We’re cold wet and lost at sea.

My eyes slowly open just as a short little boy points and yells ‘Land Ahoy!’ At first I didn’t believe him but I too spotted a little lump of green over the horizon. The happiness overwhelms me as I feel tears of joy slide down my cheek. We were going to make it.

Oh No!

My face was shaking. My teeth were chattering. My eyes were as big as the sun. My body was scared to death. I was fiddling with my fingers.

I was biting my nails. And my heart was pumping really fast. And I felt faint.

Oh no a power cut! I was so scared! Don’t worry I got used to it.

It was quite long. When the power went on I got straight out of bed and ran to my mum and said,

“I don’t want to be alone anymore.”

A few weeks later there was another power cut. I said “Oh no not again!”

But I was in the kitchen. I had a bleeding nose because I ran into the wall! It hurt!
